The ISCAR 5507723 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the CNMA 433 ISO standard geometry, it features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral 0-degree relief angle. The insert carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN under the IC5005 grade designation, which provides strong wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous cuts in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible toolholders for high-demand turning applications.
This insert is rated for use on cast iron, steel, and hard materials, making it well suited for production turning environments where tool life and surface finish consistency matter. It is held in the toolholder via clamp or pin, and its A-style chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed rates. The insert is also listed as multi-use compatible for boring operations. It conforms to ISO 13399 standards and carries the Isoturn series designation. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production turning insert for CNMA 433 toolholder seats used in CNC turning and boring applications on cast iron, steel, and hard materials. Compatible with toolholders designed to accept the CNMA insert style with clamp or pin retention.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine fully stopped and locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate insert seating torque tool and clamp hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or damage before seating a new insert. Never exceed the maximum depth of cut or feed rate specified for the toolholder and insert combination in use.
