The ISCAR 5507005 is a solid carbide turning insert in the SCMT style, designed for precision metal-turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Grade IC9250 features a CVD-applied multilayer coating — TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN — delivering wear resistance and thermal stability across demanding cutting applications. The insert carries a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 1/64-inch corner radius, and a positive rake geometry with the SM chip breaker, which promotes controlled chip formation and reduced cutting forces. Installation Notes
