The ISCAR 5503666 is a WNMG 432-NF IC-530N cermet turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC lathe and turning center applications. Featuring a PVD-applied TiCN and TiN coating over a cermet substrate, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability when machining stainless steel and carbon steel. The 80-degree trigon (W) shape with a neutral 0-degree relief angle and a 0.031-inch corner radius makes it well suited for finishing and light roughing passes. It belongs to ISCAR's Isoturn series and holds an ISO 13399-compliant designation of WNMG 432-NF. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments will find it compatible with standard WNMG toolholders.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations on stainless steel and steel workpieces in both residential-scale job shop and industrial production settings. The NF chip breaker geometry supports positive-rake cutting action, which reduces cutting forces and helps control chip formation at moderate feed rates. The insert is held in place by clamp or pin methods, standard on most WNMG-compatible toolholders.
