The ISCAR 4504051 is a DIN69871-50 taper milling chuck designed for precision tool holding in CNC machining centers. It accepts a 1.2598-inch (32 mm) bore diameter and features a 2.7165-inch (69 mm) nose diameter with a 3.937-inch projection from gauge line to nose end. The chuck supports through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery, directing cutting fluid to the tool tip for improved chip evacuation and tool life in demanding milling operations. Total indicated runout (TIR) is rated at 0.0001 inch, making it suitable for applications where concentricity directly affects surface finish and tool wear. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers.
This milling chuck is intended for use in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with DIN69871-50 (also referenced as ISO 7388-1 Type A or AD) taper spindles. The 3.937-inch projection accommodates standard end mill shanks and similar tooling where extended reach from the spindle face is required. The through-coolant capability suits high-speed and high-feed milling strategies in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where flood coolant alone is insufficient. It is applicable in production and job-shop environments running moderate to heavy milling cycles.
Designed for CNC machining center spindles with DIN69871-50 taper interfaces. Accepts tooling with a 1.2598-inch shank bore. Confirm spindle taper specification and drawbar pull force requirements before installation.
Installation and tool setup should be performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Always power down and lock out the machining center spindle before mounting or removing tool holders. Clean the spindle taper and chuck taper with a lint-free cloth and inspect for burrs or debris before seating. Torque retention knobs to the spindle manufacturer specifications; do not substitute retention knobs across taper standards.
