Built to the S-SVQC toolholder style within ISCARs Isoturn series, it accepts VC.. 33.. diamond-shaped inserts held in place by a screw-clamp method. The bar features a 1-inch shank diameter, a 12-inch overall length, and a negative rake angle of -5 degrees. It supports a minimum bore diameter of 1.22 inches and a maximum bore depth of 2.44 inches. The tool body is steel construction and conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards, making it compatible with modern tool management and presetter workflows.
This boring bar is suited for right-hand internal turning where a rigid, precision-ground shank and consistent insert indexing are required. Typical applications include finish and semi-finish boring of through-holes and blind bores in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 12-inch OAL provides reach for deeper setups while the 1-inch shank diameter maintains rigidity at the tool block or VDI/BOT interface. The cutting direction is right-hand, meaning it is intended for conventional lathe spindle rotation with the tool feeding toward the chuck.
Compatible with VC.. 33.. series diamond-shaped inserts, size code 33, using the S-SVQC insert style. Confirm insert geometry and chipbreaker designation against the ISCAR Isoturn catalog prior to ordering inserts separately.
This boring bar is installed by qualified machinists or tooling setup personnel. Secure the shank in a compatible boring bar holder or turret block to the specified clamping torque listed in the machine tool or toolholder manufacturers documentation. Ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out state before mounting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 2.44 inches, as overextension can induce chatter and accelerate insert wear.
