The ISCAR 3401166 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It carries a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius. The cutting geometry features 4 flutes with a variable index and right-hand spiral flute direction. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating applied via physical vapor deposition provides heat and wear resistance during aggressive milling passes. The Weldon flat shank and h6 shank tolerance ensure secure, repeatable clamping in compatible toolholders. Overall length is 5 inches and shank diameter is 1/2 inch. This tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations and is installed by machinists in CNC milling environments.
This end mill is built for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. The extra-long length type with a 2.5 inch reach makes it well suited for deep-pocket milling, shoulder milling, and contour work where standard-length tools cannot reach. Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician.
