The ISCAR 3401157 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. Built on the ECI-4-VF series platform, it features a 7/16 inch (0.437 inch) cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection when cutting abrasive and high-hardness workpiece materials. Four flutes with a variable index geometry and right-hand spiral flute configuration support efficient chip evacuation and vibration damping across a range of applications. Licensed machinists and CNC machine operators install and qualify this tool.
This end mill is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. Its extra-long reach length of 3 inches and 6 inch overall length make it suitable for deep-pocket milling, cavity work, and extended-reach profiling operations where a standard-length tool cannot access the feature. The Weldon flat shank with h6 tolerance mounts directly into compatible side-lock toolholders. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, and the submicron carbide substrate grade supports stable operation in hard material applications.
