The ISCAR 3401131 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, 1-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that blends the benefits of a square end mill with reduced edge chipping. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a variable index geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal and wear resistance for extended tool life in high-heat cutting applications. The Weldon flat shank seats securely in compatible toolholders, and the extended reach of 2 inches accommodates deeper workpiece features.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials in CNC milling applications. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it practical for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations. The short flute length combined with the extended neck geometry delivers improved rigidity when accessing recessed features. It is typically installed by CNC machinists and toolroom operators in production or job-shop environments.
The 3401131 is designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter with h6 tolerance. It is part of the ISCAR ECI-4-VF series and carries manufacturer catalog number ECI-4 750-1.25/2.0W03VF4.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat fully into the holder and tighten the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer specified torque. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, particularly for finishing passes where surface quality is critical.
