The ISCAR 3399213 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It carries a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.50-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at workpiece corners. The tool runs a 3-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 45-degree helix angle, supporting both roughing and finishing in a single setup. A DLC (diamond-like carbon) PVD coating reduces friction and resists built-up edge on aluminum, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials. Centercutting geometry enables plunge entry. Overall length is 3.0 inches with a straight cylindrical 0.25-inch shank. ISCAR lists this under the ECAI-B3-EC series.
This end mill is sized for light-duty to medium-duty milling operations on non-ferrous metals, including aluminum alloys, copper, brass, and similar materials. The short flute length and extended reach design make it suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring passes where corner integrity and surface finish matter. The submicron carbide grade maintains edge sharpness under high-speed cutting conditions typical in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The coarse pitch flute spacing aids chip evacuation in gummy materials. This is a single-end tool intended for use with a compatible straight-bore toolholder.
Designed for use with straight-bore toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch shank diameter. Optimized for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, copper, and brass. ISCAR catalog number ECAI-B3 .25-.5/1.3CR03-3.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder bore and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
