The ISCAR 3399070 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. With a 5/8 inch (0.625 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) corner radius, it produces smooth, radiused edges while maintaining tight tolerances. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. A DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating reduces friction and improves tool life in aluminum, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 4 inch overall length and extended reach design make it suitable for deeper cavity and pocket work. Installed in CNC machining centers or manual mills, this end mill fits a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder.
This end mill is intended for use in non-ferrous metal machining applications, including aluminum alloys, brass, and copper. The coarse pitch, 3-flute configuration promotes chip evacuation in high-speed cutting conditions common in production and job-shop environments. The centercutting design allows for plunge entry. With a 1 inch length of cut, a 2 inch reach length, and a 5/8 inch shank diameter, it fits standard toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using an appropriate collet or end mill holder matched to the 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool, as excessive runout reduces tool life and surface finish quality in finishing passes. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder retention knob.
