The ISCAR 3399023 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for both roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/16-inch (0.1870 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.015-inch corner radius that helps reduce chipping at the cutting edge and extend tool life in high-cycle applications. The tool carries a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating applied for improved hardness and low friction when cutting aluminum and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. With three right-hand spiral flutes and a coarse pitch, the 3399023 evacuates chips efficiently at aggressive feed rates. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC milling centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is designed for use on non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, and brass alloys in short-reach, high-precision milling scenarios. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power secured. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or coolant residue before seating the end mill. Verify runout after clamping to protect both the tool and the workpiece. This tool is not rated for coolant-through delivery; external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone.
