The ISCAR 3398260 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.25-inch cutting diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, it delivers precise ball-nose profiling on contoured surfaces, 3D features, and complex geometry. The four-flute design with a 38-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and improves surface finish at elevated feed rates. A TiAlCN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless, and high-temperature alloys. This end mill is a single-end tool from the ISCAR Flash Solid series, intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals on CNC machining centers.
The 3398260 is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a ball-nose profile is required. The variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during deep-cavity or high-speed machining passes. With a 0.25-inch shank diameter and a 3-inch overall length, it fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills using 0.25-inch collet chucks or end mill holders with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
