The ISCAR 3398254 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter and 4 flutes, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes in profiling, contouring, and finishing operations. A TiAlCN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. The variable index geometry reduces chatter and improves stability during interrupted cuts. Part of the Flash Solid series, this tool is single-end construction with a right-hand cutting and flute direction and a 38-degree helix angle.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shop, tool and die, mold making, and general precision machining applications. The 0.25 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and milling chucks common in both vertical and horizontal machining centers. The extended reach design, with a 1.25 inch reach length and 0.5 inch length of cut, makes it applicable for cavity work and deep-pocket finishing where clearance is required. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production or prototype environments.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill in the ISCAR Flash Solid series; catalog reference EBI-4 250-500/1.25CVF3. Compatible with 0.25 inch shank tool holders including ER collet systems, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-off state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow shop-standard feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
