The ISCAR 3398164 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable index geometry that reduces harmonic vibration during cuts. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness suited for dry or semi-dry cutting. At 6 inches overall length with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, this tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, or general manufacturing.
This end mill is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extended reach of 4 inches makes it suitable for deep-pocket milling, cavity work, and contoured surfaces where standard-reach tools cannot reach the workpiece. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the right-hand flute direction pairs with conventional CNC machining center setups. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance mounts directly into a compatible toolholder for precise runout control.
Designed for use with a standard toolholder accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation. Manufacturer catalog number ECI-4 750-1.25/4.0C06VF6 may be used to cross-reference toolholder and collet fitment.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool change protocol followed before mounting or removing this end mill. Verify toolholder bore size and collet tolerance match the h6 shank diameter specification to maintain runout within acceptable limits. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material being cut.
