Product Description

The ISCAR 3398019 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking environments. Part of the ECI-4-VF series, it features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. The straight-cylindrical shank is ground to an h6 tolerance for accurate tool holding. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in shop and production environments.

This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extended reach and medium length geometry make it practical for accessing features with moderate depth requirements. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. It is designed for use with a compatible toolholder and does not include coolant-through capability.

Installation Notes

This tool is installed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, and confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the workpiece.
