The ISCAR 3337257 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CXMG 090404-F3M IC807 designation, part of the Logiq4turn series. It features an 80-degree diamond insert shape with a positive rake geometry and the F3M chip breaker, optimized for controlled chip evacuation during turning operations. The PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating combination provides wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of cutting conditions. With a corner radius of 0.40 mm and a maximum depth of cut of 2.00 mm, this insert is suited to finishing and light semi-finish turning passes on a variety of workpiece materials.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S. That range includes steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous materials, and high-temperature alloys. It is intended for use on CNC turning centers and manual lathes in production machining environments. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops or high-volume production facilities will find the Logiq4turn platform a direct fit for external and internal profile turning applications where consistent surface finish is required.
Designed for use in CXMG-style insert pockets within the ISCAR Logiq4turn toolholder system. Compatible with toolholders engineered to the CXMG 09 insert size designation. Verify toolholder pocket geometry and clamping style before installation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician with the machine in a full stop condition and the spindle locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the clamping screw — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface for chips or debris before installing the new insert. Confirm insert orientation and chip breaker direction match the intended cutting direction before resuming operation.
