The ISCAR 3300276 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the MIFR 15-2.50-1.25 IC908 ISO specification, it features a 2.50 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 15.00 mm, making it well suited for medium-depth grooving work. The IC908 fine-grain carbide grade is applied with a PVD TiAlN coating for extended tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. This insert is designed for right-hand cutting and is retained by a clamp and screw holding method. Machinists and CNC operators working in precision turning environments are the typical end users.
This insert belongs to the ISCAR Min-Cut series, which is engineered for stable, controlled grooving in both roughing and finishing passes. Its universal primary workpiece material classification covers steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and other common turning materials, reflected in the ISO material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The 1.25 mm corner radius promotes chip control and surface finish quality in groove-bottom profiling. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state before handling cutting inserts.
