The ISCAR 3201357 is an indexable insert drill from the DR-TWIST series, designed for holemaking operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. This straight-shank drill accepts two indexable inserts and delivers a maximum drill depth of 1.41 inches at a 2xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The drill diameter is 45/64 inches (0.7031 inches decimal), with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank for secure toolholder engagement. Compatible insert styles include SOGX-AL, SOMX-DT, and SOMX-GF, giving machinists flexibility in insert selection based on workpiece material. Coolant-through capability is built in, supporting chip evacuation and tool life in general-purpose drilling applications. This tool is intended for use by CNC machinists and tool room professionals.
The ISCAR 3201357 is suited for general-purpose holemaking in production and job shop environments. Its 2xD drilling ratio makes it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in a range of workpiece materials where moderate depth is required. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard toolholders with a 3/4 inch bore. Coolant is delivered both through the body side and the shank end, supporting chip control in horizontal and vertical machining center setups.
Compatible insert styles are SOGX-AL, SOMX-DT, and SOMX-GF, insert size code 05, drill style DR. Designed for use in toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank and compatible with the DR-TWIST series platform.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool room technicians. Secure the shank fully in a qualified toolholder to the recommended engagement depth before operation and verify runout before cutting. Connect coolant lines to the appropriate shank-end or body-side ports as required by your machine setup. Follow the insert manufacturer torque guidance when seating indexable inserts and inspect insert seating surfaces for debris before each insert change.
