The ISCAR 3110810 is a replaceable-tip milling shank designed for T-slot milling operations. Built from steel, this toolholder accepts a swappable cutting head and transfers cutting forces through a stepped, round shank measuring 16 mm in diameter. The neck diameter is 13 mm with an M4x0.5 thread for secure head retention. Overall length (OAL) is 104 mm, and the projection from gauge line to cutting head seat is 16.6 mm. The 13 mm head length positions the insert at the correct depth for T-slot profiles. Installed by machinists and tool crib technicians on CNC milling centers, this shank is part of the ISCAR T-Slot series tooling platform.
This shank is suited for T-slot milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers where a replaceable-tip system reduces tooling downtime. The stepped shank configuration allows direct mounting into standard toolholder bores or adapters that accept 16 mm round shanks. The M4x0.5 neck thread interfaces with compatible ISCAR T-slot replaceable heads. Applications span general metalworking, die and mold work, and fixture machining where T-slot profiles are cut into steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the ISCAR T-Slot series tooling platform, compatible with replaceable T-slot milling heads that accept an M4x0.5 neck thread and a 13 mm neck diameter. Specific head compatibility should be confirmed against ISCAR T-Slot series head listings.
Installation and head changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Torque the replaceable head to the neck thread using the appropriate ISCAR assembly tool per the tooling platform documentation. Inspect the shank bore seat and neck thread for chips or damage before each head change. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder clamping specifications when securing the shank in the spindle or adapter.
