The ISCAR 3107341 is an indexable high-feed face mill designed for aggressive material removal at high feed rates with minimal depth of cut. Built around the FFQ4 cutter style and series, this tool accepts five SOMT or SOMW style inserts secured by screw-type clamping. The cutting diameter ranges from 1.136 inches to 2 inches, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.059 inches. Through-coolant capability is integrated into the body, supporting extended insert life and chip evacuation in demanding milling operations. This tool is sized around a 0.75 inch arbor hole and conforms to ISO standards. Machinists and tooling specialists in production shops and job shops will recognize this as a purpose-built high-feed roughing solution.
This face mill is suited for high-feed milling operations on machining centers where rapid stock removal is the priority. The shallow maximum depth of cut paired with high table feed rates makes it effective for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The through-coolant design supports use in wet-cut environments where heat management and chip flushing are critical. A maximum ramping angle of 2.60 degrees allows controlled helical entry into the workpiece. With a maximum body diameter of 1.85 inches and an overall height of 2 inches, this cutter fits standard arbor-mount toolholding setups common in CNC milling applications.
Designed for use with SOMT and SOMW series inserts in the FFQ4 insert system. Mounts via a 0.75 inch arbor hole compatible with standard CNC milling machine arbor-style toolholders.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC milling toolholding systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or removing the cutter body. Confirm arbor and drawbar torque specifications per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before running. Follow insert manufacturer torque recommendations when seating and clamping SOMT or SOMW inserts with the screw-type clamping method.
