The 1-inch cylindrical shank provides rigid setup in live-tool or static boring bar holders, and the through-coolant feature directs cutting fluid directly to the insert tip for improved chip evacuation and tool life in demanding grooving cycles. The 2850058 is suited for internal grooving in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 1.26 inches. Its 7.85-inch overall length and 6.28-inch shank length accommodate reach requirements in deeper bores. The toolholder is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S, making it applicable across steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous, heat-resistant superalloys, and hardened materials.
