The ISCAR 2302508 is an indexable grooving blade from the PentaCut series, designed for grooving, parting, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built for left-hand cutting direction, the blade accepts a range of PENTA 34 insert styles and supports minimum groove widths starting at 0.0591 inches (1.50 mm) up to a maximum of 0.1575 inches (4.00 mm). Maximum depth of cut reaches 0.2170 inches. The blade measures 1.6535 inches high, 0.4724 inches wide, and 2.4213 inches in overall length. It conforms to ISO 13399 tooling standards. This blade is installed and used by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The 2302508 is suited for external grooving, parting-off, and turning applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The PCAD blade style accommodates multiple PENTA 34 insert geometries, giving technicians flexibility to select insert grades and chipbreakers matched to the specific material and operation. It is appropriate for use in medium to high-volume turning operations where repeatable groove width and depth are required.
Compatible insert styles include PENTA 34F-R/L, PENTA 34N-C, PENTA 34N-J, PENTA 34N-PB, PENTA 34R/L-C, PENTA 34R/L-J, and PENTA 34R/L-PB. Specific compatible insert part numbers include PENTA 34F239-0.15-22L, PENTA 34F239-0.15-22R, PENTA 34F247-0.20-22L, PENTA 34F247-0.20-22R, PENTA 34F300-0.40-22L, PENTA 34L150C08D, PENTA 34L150PB-6D, PENTA 34L200C06D, PENTA 34L200C15D, PENTA 34L200PB-6D, PENTA 34N-PB, and PENTA 34N150C015.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Before seating or replacing inserts, confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state. Secure the blade in the toolholder per the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications. Verify insert seating and clamping screw torque before resuming cutting operations.
