The ISCAR 2302229 is a single-end, right-hand indexable cutoff and grooving blade from the Tang-Grip series. It measures 26mm (1.0236 inches) in blade height, 7.9mm (0.3110 inches) in blade width, and 110.5mm (4.45 inches) in overall length. The blade accepts inserts with a width range of 1.80mm to 2.40mm and uses a clamp-style insert holding method. With a cutting height of 21.40mm (0.8425 inches) and a maximum workpiece diameter capacity of 2.2000 inches, this blade is suited for precision parting, grooving, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
This blade is designed for use in production machining environments where reliable parting and grooving performance is required. Typical applications include grooving, parting, and turning on metal workpieces up to 2.2000 inches in diameter. It is used in horizontal and vertical turning centers by machinists and toolroom professionals working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The Tang-Grip blade style integrates with compatible tool blocks and toolholders for rigid, repeatable clamping.
Compatible insert styles include TAG L3C-15D, TAG L3C-6D, TAG L3J-15D, TAG L3J-6D, TAG L3JS-6D, TAG N3A, TAG N3C, TAG N3CB, TAG N3J, TAG N3JS, TAG N3JT, TAG N3LF, TAG N3M, TAG N3UT, TAG N3W, TAG R3C-15D, TAG R3C-6D, TAG R3C-8D, TAG R3J-6D, and TAG R3JS-6D. Compatible tool block and toolholder styles include C..TBK.., HS..TBK.., IM..TBK.., and SGT.. series holders.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine powered down before seating or changing the blade or insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and ISCAR-specified clamping hardware when securing the blade in the tool block — do not over-tighten the clamping screw by hand estimation. Verify insert seating and blade alignment before returning the machine to operation.
