The ISCAR 2301296 is a left-hand indexable grooving and cut-off toolholder in the Do Grip series, designed for use with DG. 1.. and DG. 3.. series inserts. It accepts a groove width range of 0.118 to 0.125 inches and holds inserts via a clamp mechanism, providing positive insert retention during grooving and parting operations. The shank measures 0.75 inches square by 3.36 inches in length, with an overall tool length of 4.5 inches. This toolholder is suited for machinists and toolroom professionals running turning centers or lathes that require precise, repeatable groove control. Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling standards.
The 2301296 is applied in cut-off and grooving operations on CNC turning centers and conventional lathes. Its left-hand orientation suits specific spindle configurations and approach directions where a right-hand holder is not appropriate. The Do Grip toolholder style (DGTL) positions the insert for stable grooving passes in both external groove and parting applications. It does not support coolant-through delivery, making it appropriate for setups where flood or mist coolant is supplied externally.

Verify insert seating and clamp engagement before resuming cutting operations.
