Wide lands keep the bit tracking straight through the bore, while flutes ground behind the lands channel chips inward and away from the outside diameter. The result is a faster, cleaner cut with less blowout. A single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference before the main cutters engage, producing a smooth, defined hole wall. A coarse screw point draws the bit into hard and soft woods quickly without requiring excessive feed pressure. Full-length heat treatment guards against bending and strengthens the twist at the highest-stress zone.
