The IRWIN BLADES 98376IBB123910 is a bi-metal welded bandsaw blade engineered for contour cutting applications in metal fabrication and general trade work. The blade runs 12 feet 10 inches in length and 1/2 inch wide, with a 0.025-inch blade thickness and a 6 TPI straight-tooth configuration. The cutting teeth are manufactured from M42 high speed steel, delivering hardness and heat resistance needed for demanding cut cycles. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators in metalworking and industrial maintenance environments install and service this blade type.
This blade is suited for contour cutting on vertical and horizontal bandsaw machines commonly found in metal fabrication shops, mechanical contractor shops, and industrial maintenance facilities. The positive rake angle and 6 TPI tooth form make it well matched to cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals at moderate feed rates. The welded construction provides a continuous loop profile ready to mount directly onto compatible bandsaw machines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit bandsaw blade for vertical or horizontal bandsaw machines accepting a 12-foot 10-inch loop blade in 1/2-inch width.
Bandsaw blade replacement is typically performed by maintenance technicians or metalworking tradespeople. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the old blade or threading the new one. Verify wheel tracking, blade tension, and guide bearing clearance after installing the blade and before resuming cutting operations. Do not exceed the bandsaw manufacturer's rated blade speed for the blade width and tooth pitch in use.
