The IRWIN 372818 is a bi-metal reciprocating saw blade engineered for metal cutting applications. Built under the WeldTec construction method, the blade fuses a high-speed steel tooth edge to a flexible alloy steel body, producing a blade that resists tooth breakage while maintaining the flexibility needed to survive demanding cut cycles. At 18 teeth per inch (TPI), the blade is suited for cutting thin-wall tubing, sheet metal, conduit, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The blade measures 8 inches in overall length and 0.035 inches in thickness. It is sold individually and intended for use by trade professionals and industrial end users.
This blade fits standard reciprocating saws used by electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and general contractors for metal demolition and fabrication cuts. The 18 TPI tooth pitch produces a fine, controlled cut that reduces burring on thin metal stock. Typical applications include cutting EMT conduit, copper pipe, angle iron, and sheet metal panels. The 8-inch blade length provides adequate reach for most production cutting tasks without sacrificing control on shorter cuts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade blade for use in standard reciprocating saws accepting universal shank blades, suited for metal cutting in trade and industrial applications.
Blade installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified tradesperson with the tool unplugged or the battery pack removed. Ensure the blade clamp or chuck is fully seated and locked before operating the saw. Always wear appropriate eye and hand protection when cutting metal, as chips and sparks are generated. Follow applicable OSHA and tool manufacturer guidelines for reciprocating saw operation.
