The IPS 513977 is a gas test gauge designed for pressure testing natural gas and propane distribution systems. It reads up to 15 psi and connects via a 3/4-inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) inlet. Plumbers and gas fitters use this gauge to verify system pressure during new installation, post-repair testing, and code-required pressure checks. The FIPT connection threads directly onto standard iron pipe fittings, making it straightforward to integrate into a test setup without adapters in most residential and light commercial applications.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial gas piping work where a low-range pressure reading is required. Typical applications include pressure testing gas lines after rough-in, confirming regulator output pressure, and diagnosing pressure drop issues in distribution piping. It is a standard tool for licensed plumbers and gas service technicians working under IFGC or local gas code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure test gauge for use on residential and light commercial gas piping systems with 3/4-inch female iron pipe thread connections.
Installation and use should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified gas fitter in accordance with local gas codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the gas supply and bleed the system to zero pressure before connecting or disconnecting the gauge. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for gas service on the FIPT connection. Do not exceed the rated 15 psi maximum pressure when pressurizing the test segment.
