Manufactured from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), this nipple carries a design stress rating of 2,000 psi at 73 degrees F and a maximum service temperature of 200 degrees F under continuous pressure. Short-term exposure to boiling water at 212 degrees F is also tolerated.
