The IPEX 9854030 is a 3-inch CPVC Schedule 80 loose ring Van Stone flange hub designed for high-pressure, high-temperature piping systems. It features a flange-by-slip end connection with a 6-inch bolt circle diameter and a 7.625-inch flange outside diameter. Rated at 150 psi at 73 degrees F (non-shock) and up to 200 degrees F, this fitting is injection molded from CPVC Grade 1 Type 4 material meeting ASTM D1784, F437, and F439 specifications. Licensed HVAC and plumbing technicians, as well as industrial piping contractors, install this fitting where a removable, bolted flange connection is required on CPVC pipe runs.
This flange hub is suited for residential and commercial installations across irrigation, plumbing, industrial process piping, and pool and spa systems. It is also approved for potable water applications, carrying NSF 14 and NSF 61 certification. The Van Stone loose ring design allows the flange ring to rotate freely around the hub, simplifying bolt-hole alignment during installation. This fitting is appropriate for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems where chemical resistance and elevated temperature performance are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems in irrigation, plumbing, industrial, pool and spa, and potable water applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before cutting into any existing piping. Solvent-cement the hub end to Schedule 80 CPVC pipe using a CPVC-rated primer and cement following ASTM F493 procedures. Torque flange bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the gasket and flange manufacturer specifications — do not over-tighten, as CPVC flanges are not rated for the same bolt loads as metallic flanges.
