The IPEX 9854012 is a 1-1/4 inch CPVC Schedule 80 two-piece flange fitting designed for demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. Manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), this flange provides reliable, corrosion-resistant connections in systems that handle acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens. Schedule 80 wall thickness gives it the structural integrity needed for higher-pressure service. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting as part of a complete CPVC pipe, valve, and fitting system where metal corrosion or galvanic degradation is a concern.
This flange is suited for chemical process piping, industrial fluid handling, and potable water distribution where long service life and low maintenance are priorities. The Corzan CPVC system is engineered for applications involving corrosive chemicals, underground installations with aggressive soil conditions, and environments where electrochemical or galvanic corrosion would compromise metal systems. It is also listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for use in potable water service, broadening its applicable installation scenarios in both commercial and industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the IPEX Corzan CPVC Schedule 80 pipe, valves, and fittings system for industrial and chemical process piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and the manufacturer system specifications. Shut off flow and depressurize the line completely before disassembling or installing any flange fitting. CPVC solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 CPVC must be used on cemented joints; do not substitute PVC-only compounds. Avoid over-torquing flange bolts, as CPVC is not rated for the same mechanical load as metal flanges and can crack under excessive clamping force.
