The IPEX 9850015 is a 1-1/2 inch CPVC Schedule 80 male plug designed for industrial and chemical process piping systems. Manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), this plug provides a secure, pressure-rated termination point in Schedule 80 piping assemblies. It is built to IPEX dimensional and performance standards, ensuring consistent fit within a complete pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) system sourced from a single manufacturer. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting in applications where corrosion resistance, temperature range, and long-term service reliability are required. CPVC construction delivers immunity to electrochemical and galvanic corrosion, making it a dependable alternative to metal fittings in chemically aggressive environments.
The 9850015 is suited for chemical processing, industrial fluid handling, and potable water systems where Schedule 80 CPVC pipe is specified. Its design accommodates a broad range of service temperatures and pressures typical of industrial piping installations. The fitting is appropriate for use with most acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens, making it a practical choice wherever corrosive media or aggressive soil conditions are a concern. Residential and commercial plumbing applications that specify CPVC Schedule 80 components are also within its scope.
Designed for use in IPEX Corzan CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems. Compatible with Schedule 80 CPVC pipe and fittings manufactured to standard dimensional tolerances for 1-1/2 inch nominal pipe size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where adopted. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any fitting. CPVC solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 CPVC must be used; do not use PVC-only cement on CPVC fittings. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring system pressure.
