The IPEX 9839210 is a CPVC Schedule 80 flush-style reducing bushing with a male threaded (MPT) inlet and a female threaded (FPT) outlet. It steps down pipe size from 1-1/2 inches to 3/4 inches within a CPVC piping system. Rated for a maximum service temperature of 200 degrees F under pressure, with occasional exposure to boiling water at 212 degrees F, and a design stress of 2,000 psi at 73 degrees F, this bushing is built for demanding industrial and commercial plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of Xirtec CPVC distribution systems.
This reducing bushing is intended for use in Xirtec CPVC piping systems where a size reduction is required between threaded connections. Typical installations include industrial process piping, commercial hot and cold water distribution, and chemical handling systems where corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance are required. The flush-style design allows the bushing to seat directly into a female-threaded fitting or valve without added projection, keeping assemblies compact.
Designed for use with Xirtec CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems using standard MPT and FPT threaded connections.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers working on CPVC threaded piping systems. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Use CPVC-compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for CPVC; do not use petroleum-based pipe dopes, which can degrade CPVC. Follow applicable plumbing codes, including IPC guidelines, for threaded joint assembly and pressure testing.
