The IPEX 9839101 is a Schedule 80 CPVC male x female bushing used to reduce a 3/4-inch male threaded connection down to a 1/2-inch female threaded port. Manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), this bushing is engineered for industrial and chemical process piping systems where metal fittings introduce corrosion, galvanic interaction, or excessive weight. CPVC construction provides outstanding resistance to a broad range of acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens. Schedule 80 wall thickness delivers the pressure ratings required for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting in process lines, chemical distribution systems, and potable water applications.
This bushing is suited for industrial process piping, chemical handling systems, and potable water distribution where CPVC is the specified material. Corzan CPVC is listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for potable water service, making it appropriate for both sanitary and industrial installations. It performs reliably in applications involving corrosive soil conditions, electrochemical exposure, and environments where metal piping would degrade over time. The fitting is part of the IPEX Corzan pipe, valves, and fittings system, which is designed, produced, and backed by a single manufacturer to maintain consistent dimensional and performance standards throughout the piping assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the IPEX Corzan Schedule 80 CPVC pipe, valves, and fittings system. Compatible with standard Schedule 80 CPVC threaded piping assemblies using 3/4-inch male and 1/2-inch female threaded connections.
Installation of CPVC threaded fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where adopted. Isolate and depressurize the piping system completely before removing any existing fittings. Use only thread sealants and compounds rated compatible with CPVC, as petroleum-based products can cause stress cracking. Do not over-torque threaded CPVC connections, as CPVC is not designed to absorb the same wrench torque as metal fittings.
