The IPEX 9837532 is a CPVC Schedule 80 hex head reducing bushing with a spigot x socket end connection, designed for industrial and commercial fluid handling systems. Manufactured from Corzan CPVC per ASTM F439 and injection molded in a light gray finish, this fitting is rated for pressures up to 2000 psi at 73 degrees F and temperatures up to 210 degrees F. It transitions a 6-inch line down to a 4-inch socket connection using solvent cement. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting in aggressive-service piping systems where corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and leak-free performance are required.
This reducing bushing is suited for a wide range of demanding applications including chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage, and wastewater treatment systems. Its CPVC construction provides superior hydraulic performance and resistance to a broad spectrum of corrosive media. It is sold in cartons of 5 units. The fitting is compliant with ANSI/NSF 14/61, making it appropriate for potable and process water service where that standard is required.
Designed as an OEM-compatible Schedule 80 CPVC bushing fitting for industrial and commercial piping systems using 6-inch to 4-inch reducing connections with solvent cement joining.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or ANSI standards for thermoplastic piping. Shut off all flow and depressurize the line before cutting or joining. Use a CPVC-rated solvent cement formulated for Schedule 80 fittings; do not substitute PVC cement. Allow full cure time per cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system.
