The IPEX 9817030 is a 3-inch CPVC Schedule 80 45-degree elbow fitting with female socket by female socket end connections. Manufactured to ASTM F439 and ANSI/NSF 14/61 standards, this fitting is designed for pressure-rated thermoplastic piping systems where corrosion resistance and thermal performance are critical. It carries a pressure rating of 2000 psi at 73 degrees F and a temperature rating of 210 degrees F. The light gray CPVC construction offers excellent mechanical strength across a broad temperature range. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial piping contractors install this fitting using solvent cement to create a leak-free joint in chemical, industrial, and water-handling systems.
This elbow is suited for applications including chemical processing, chemical drainage, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, industrial plating, and wastewater treatment systems. Its Schedule 80 wall thickness makes it appropriate for higher-pressure and more demanding service conditions compared to Schedule 40 fittings. It is sold in cartons of 6 and is intended for use in both commercial and industrial installations where CPVC thermoplastic piping is specified.
Designed for use with 3-inch CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems in chemical processing, chemical drainage, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, industrial plating, and wastewater treatment applications. Compatible with solvent-cement joining methods per standard CPVC Schedule 80 installation practice.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F439 joining procedures. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer; do not use PVC-only cement on CPVC fittings. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system.
