The IPEX 9817020 is a 2-inch CPVC Schedule 80 45-degree elbow with socket-by-socket end connections, designed for use in industrial and commercial piping systems handling corrosive or high-temperature fluids. Manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), this fitting delivers superior chemical resistance across a broad service temperature range. It is engineered to IPEX dimensional and performance standards and is suitable for use with potable water as listed by NSF and CSA International. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting where a 45-degree directional change is required in a thermoplastic pressure piping system.
This elbow is suited for chemical process piping, industrial fluid handling, and potable water distribution systems that demand resistance to corrosion, scaling, and electrochemical degradation. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides additional pressure-bearing capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-pressure service applications. It is part of the IPEX Corzan CPVC pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) system, which is designed, produced, and backed by a single manufacturer to ensure consistent dimensional tolerances across all system components.
Designed for use within the IPEX Corzan CPVC Schedule 80 pipe, valves, and fittings system. Compatible with standard 2-inch CPVC Schedule 80 socket-end piping components manufactured to ASTM dimensional standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC and IFGC where relevant. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting or joining any fitting. CPVC socket joints require the use of CPVC-compatible solvent cement — do not use PVC cement on CPVC fittings. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring system pressure.
