The IPEX 9817012 is a 1-1/4 inch CPVC Schedule 80 45-degree elbow with socket-by-socket connections, designed for industrial and commercial piping systems that handle corrosive or high-temperature fluids. Manufactured from Corzan CPVC, this fitting offers superior resistance to a broad range of acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides higher pressure ratings than Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding process piping applications. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting where directional changes are required in systems carrying aggressive chemicals or treated water.
This elbow is suited for chemical processing, industrial fluid handling, and potable water distribution systems where corrosion resistance and long service life are priorities. The Corzan CPVC material resists electrochemical and galvanic corrosion, making it a reliable alternative to metal piping in environments with corrosive soils or aggressive media. Because it does not rust, pit, scale, or corrode internally, flow characteristics remain consistent over the life of the installation. The 45-degree angle makes it appropriate for gradual directional transitions in process lines.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use within the IPEX Corzan CPVC pipe, valves, and fittings system, engineered for 1-1/4 inch Schedule 80 CPVC piping installations in industrial and chemical process applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the fluid supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before cutting in or replacing any fitting. Clean and dry mating pipe ends before applying CPVC-rated solvent cement, and allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system. Do not use pipe dope, Teflon tape, or solvent cements formulated for PVC on CPVC fittings.
