The IPEX 9806015 is a 1-1/2 inch CPVC Schedule 80 90-degree elbow with socket x socket end connections. It is manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, a high-performance thermoplastic material rated for use in demanding industrial and commercial piping systems. This fitting is designed for applications where metal fittings are prone to corrosion, scaling, or chemical attack. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides additional pressure-bearing capacity compared to Schedule 40. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting as part of complete CPVC piping systems handling corrosive fluids, process chemicals, and potable water service.
This elbow is suited for industrial process piping, chemical distribution systems, and commercial plumbing installations where corrosion resistance and long service life are required. Its CPVC construction makes it appropriate for use with most acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens. The fitting is also approved for potable water applications as listed with NSF and CSA International, making it usable in both process and plumbing system contexts across a broad range of service temperatures.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 CPVC pipe and fittings in systems conforming to IPEX Corzan piping standards. Intended for industrial process, chemical, and commercial plumbing piping systems using solvent-cement socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. Solvent-cement socket joints require proper surface preparation, including cleaning and priming with CPVC-rated primer before applying CPVC solvent cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before returning the system to service.
