The IPEX 9801130 is a Schedule 80 CPVC reducing tee fitting designed for pressure-rated piping systems in plumbing, irrigation, industrial, and pool/spa applications. The fitting connects 1-inch nominal pipe on the run and reduces to a 3/4-inch nominal branch outlet, with slip connections on all three ends. Injection-molded from CPVC material meeting ASTM D1784 Grade 4 Type 1 material specification, this tee conforms to ASTM F437 and F439 dimensional standards. It carries NSF 14/61 certification for contact with potable water and is manufactured lead-free, making it suitable for drinking water service as well as chemical-handling and hot-water distribution lines.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial piping systems where a branch takeoff and a simultaneous size reduction are needed in a single fitting. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, pool and spa plumbing, hydronic systems, and industrial process lines that require the corrosion resistance and elevated temperature performance of CPVC. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides higher pressure ratings and greater mechanical strength compared to Schedule 40 fittings of the same nominal size, making it the standard choice in demanding or exposed installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using 1-inch and 3/4-inch nominal pipe sizes across plumbing, irrigation, industrial, and pool/spa applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system and allow pipe surfaces to dry completely before applying CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement. Use only solvent cement formulated for CPVC — standard PVC cement is not compatible with CPVC material. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer's instructions before restoring system pressure.
