The IPEX 9801030 is a 3-inch CPVC Schedule 80 straight tee fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems that handle corrosive fluids, high-purity water, and chemically aggressive media. Manufactured from Corzan CPVC to ASTM F439 specifications, it features three female socket end connections joined by solvent cement for a leak-free, permanent bond. The fitting is rated at 2000 psi at 73 degrees F and carries a maximum temperature rating of 210 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding thermal and pressure environments. Its light gray finish and injection-molded construction deliver consistent wall thickness and reliable mechanical strength across a broad service range.
This fitting is intended for industrial piping installations where metal fittings are unsuitable due to corrosion, contamination, or weight considerations. Typical applications include chemical processing lines, industrial plating systems, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage, and wastewater treatment systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in both above-ground and underground configurations. It is sold in packaging quantities of five units per pack, making it practical for multi-connection runs on larger projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 3-inch CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems joined by solvent cement, conforming to ASTM F439 and ANSI/NSF 14/61G standards.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or industrial pipefitters following applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC and ASTM F493 solvent-cement procedures. Before joining, isolate and depressurize the system completely and allow all fluid to drain from the line. Clean and dry all mating socket surfaces, apply the correct CPVC primer and solvent cement for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not use PVC solvent cement in place of CPVC-rated cement, as this will compromise joint integrity.
