The IPEX 817-015 is a 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 PVC 45-degree elbow fitting designed for pressure-rated piping systems. Manufactured from rigid PVC material, this fitting provides a 45-degree change in direction within a pipeline while maintaining the wall thickness and pressure ratings characteristic of Schedule 80 construction. It is used in plumbing, industrial, and irrigation applications where higher pressure capacity or added wall strength is required compared to Schedule 40 fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in both above-ground and in-wall configurations.
This 45-degree elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a gradual directional change is needed. Schedule 80 fittings are commonly specified in applications involving chemical lines, pressurized water systems, and locations subject to mechanical stress or physical impact. The 1-1/2 inch size fits standard nominal pipe sizing for drain, waste, and pressure supply lines of the same schedule and diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting into any existing piping. Solvent-weld this fitting using PVC primer and Schedule 80-compatible PVC cement, following manufacturer cure time guidelines before restoring pressure. Do not use this fitting on systems carrying fluids or gases outside its rated temperature and pressure range.
