The IPEX 817-012 is a Schedule 80 PVC 45-degree elbow fitting sized for 1-1/4 inch pipe. It is used to change flow direction at a 45-degree angle in pressurized or drain piping systems. Schedule 80 PVC has a thicker wall than Schedule 40, giving it higher pressure ratings and greater durability in demanding installations. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in commercial and industrial piping systems where added wall strength is required. It connects using solvent cement to standard 1-1/4 inch Schedule 80 or Schedule 40 PVC pipe ends.
This fitting is suited for cold and ambient-temperature water supply, chemical distribution, and irrigation piping where PVC is an approved material. It is commonly used in commercial plumbing, industrial process lines, and irrigation systems. The 45-degree angle allows for gradual directional changes, reducing turbulence and pressure drop compared to a 90-degree elbow. It is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/4 inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems in commercial plumbing, industrial process, and irrigation applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing piping. Clean and prime pipe ends before applying PVC solvent cement, and allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the joint. Follow all applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements for solvent-welded PVC fittings.
