The IPEX 801-015 is a Schedule 80 PVC tee fitting designed for pressure-rated piping systems in demanding industrial and commercial applications. Sized at 1-1/2 inches with a socket x socket x socket (SOC x SOC x SOC) end connection, this fitting provides a straight branch split in rigid PVC piping runs. Manufactured from PVC material conforming to ASTM D1785 and D2467, it carries a temperature rating of 140 degrees F and meets NSF and CSA B137.3 standards. Licensed trades and industrial piping contractors rely on this fitting where chemical resistance, pressure integrity, and code compliance are required.
This fitting is specified for a wide range of industrial and municipal piping systems. Typical applications include chemical process and distribution lines, water and wastewater systems, acid systems for refineries, pickling lines, plating shops, chlorine injection systems, chlorine dioxide and chlor-alkali plant piping, steel wire plant systems, irrigation systems, pharmaceutical piping, and waterworks installations. Its Schedule 80 wall thickness makes it suitable where higher pressure ratings or greater mechanical strength are needed compared to Schedule 40.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 PVC socket-type piping systems meeting ASTM D1785 and D2467 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter following applicable IPC, IPEX installation guidelines, and local code requirements. Depressurize and drain the system fully before cutting into any existing piping. Use a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 fittings and follow manufacturer cure time requirements before returning the system to service. Avoid exceeding the 140 degrees F temperature rating or the pressure limits defined by the ASTM schedule rating for the operating conditions.
