The IPEX 59336 is a CPVC Schedule 80 nipple fitting designed for use in potable water systems and industrial piping applications where elevated temperature and pressure resistance are required. Manufactured from CPVC meeting ASTM D1784 material specifications, this nipple carries a 200 degrees F temperature rating and features male threaded connections on both ends. The injection-molded construction places material reinforcement uniformly in stress concentration areas, improving pressure handling capability over standard fittings. At 6.5 inches in overall length with a 1-inch nominal pipe size, it installs where a short threaded extension or close connection between two female-threaded components is needed. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution, chemical processing lines, and industrial fluid handling where CPVC's corrosion resistance and temperature tolerance outperform standard PVC. Its gray finish and Schedule 80 wall thickness make it appropriate for above-ground and exposed service locations. The NSF-applicable standard rating supports use in drinking water systems. Packaged 25 units per inner pack, it is stocked and used by plumbing contractors and supply houses serving high-volume installation work.
Rated for potable water systems per applicable NSF standards. Designed as an OEM-style Schedule 80 CPVC threaded nipple for 1-inch nominal pipe size systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber following local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Use CPVC-compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for CPVC service — do not use petroleum-based compounds or solvent cements on threaded connections. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack the fitting body.
