The IPEX 53237 is a 1-1/2 inch Tru-Union clear PVC Y-strainer designed for inline filtration of liquids in plumbing, irrigation, chemical handling, and pool or water treatment systems. The clear PVC body allows visual inspection of the strainer basket without removing the unit from the line. It features a 35 mesh screen with 1/32 inch perforations to capture debris and protect downstream equipment. Both socket and female pipe thread (FPT) end connections are included. FPM seals provide resistance to a broad range of fluids. Tru-Union construction allows the strainer body to be removed from the line for cleaning or service without disturbing the installed end connections.
