The IPEX 52136 is a 2-inch CPVC Tru-Union ball check valve designed to allow one-directional flow and prevent backflow in corrosive fluid piping systems. The Tru-Union body design allows the valve to be removed from the line without cutting pipe, making in-line service and replacement fast and straightforward. Socket and female pipe thread (FPT) end connections accommodate both solvent-welded and threaded installation configurations. FPM (fluoroelastomer) seals provide resistance to a broad range of aggressive chemicals, making this valve well suited for industrial and chemical handling applications where standard elastomers would degrade.
This valve is used in residential and commercial piping systems that handle corrosive or high-purity fluids, including chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, and pool and spa chemical dosing circuits. CPVC construction offers superior resistance to chlorinated water, acids, and oxidizing chemicals compared to standard PVC. The combination of socket and FPT ends gives installers flexibility when working with existing piping layouts that mix solvent-welded and threaded connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation check valve for 2-inch CPVC piping systems in chemical feed, water treatment, and pool and spa applications where FPM seals are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified piping technician in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing the valve. When using solvent-welded socket ends, follow the CPVC-specific primer and cement manufacturer cure times before returning the line to service. Do not use standard PVC cement on CPVC fittings.
