The IPEX 52127 is a 1/2-inch CPVC tru-union ball check valve designed for inline flow control in plumbing and chemical-handling systems where reverse flow prevention is required. The tru-union body design allows the valve to be removed from the line without cutting pipe, which speeds up inspection and replacement. Socket and female pipe thread (FPT) end connections accommodate common CPVC piping configurations. FPM (fluoroelastomer) seals provide resistance to a broad range of chemicals and elevated service temperatures, making this valve suitable for both corrosive and hot-water applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this component.
This valve is well suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, chemical feed lines, pool and spa circulation systems, and HVAC condensate or chemical dosing applications where CPVC piping is already in use. The 1/2-inch size fits standard half-inch CPVC socket and FPT connections. The tru-union configuration is especially practical in tight mechanical rooms or equipment closets where inline serviceability without full pipe disassembly is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for 1/2-inch CPVC piping systems requiring inline check valve service with socket or female pipe thread connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before disassembly or installation. Solvent-cement socket connections must follow CPVC-rated cement and primer procedures and require adequate cure time before pressurizing the line. Do not exceed the valve's rated pressure and temperature limits for the fluid being handled.
