The IPEX 409012 is a Schedule 40 PVC street 90-degree elbow with a 1-1/4 inch spigot x slip end connection. It is injection molded from Type 1 PVC and carries a pressure rating of 370 psi at 73 degrees F. The white finish and NSF/ANSI 14/61G listing make it suitable for drinking water systems as well as a wide range of other fluid-handling applications. Licensed plumbers and irrigation contractors install this fitting as a standard directional change in pressure piping systems. It conforms to ASTM D1784, D2466, and F1970 material and dimensional specifications.
This elbow is used across residential and commercial plumbing, irrigation, pool and spa, and industrial piping installations. The spigot inlet allows the fitting to insert directly into a standard Schedule 40 socket, eliminating the need for a coupling at that end and reducing overall assembly length. It is suited for above-ground and below-ground pressure applications within the temperature and pressure limits of Schedule 40 PVC systems.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch Schedule 40 PVC pressure piping systems in plumbing, irrigation, pool and spa, industrial, and drinking water applications per NSF/ANSI 61G.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting or modifying any piping. Use a compatible PVC solvent cement and primer rated for Schedule 40 pressure service, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not exceed the pressure or temperature derating limits specified for Schedule 40 PVC in the service environment.
