The IPEX 36771 is a 3/4-inch PVC Schedule 80 socket tee designed for industrial and commercial piping systems that demand chemical resistance, pressure integrity, and long service life. Engineered as part of the IPEX Xirtec PVC system, this fitting is manufactured to strict dimensional and performance standards within a single-source pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) program. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure ratings compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding process piping applications. The socket-style end connections are sized for solvent-cement joining with matching Schedule 80 PVC pipe, delivering a leak-free, corrosion-resistant joint. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
The 36771 is used in industrial process piping, chemical handling, water treatment, and commercial plumbing installations where metal fittings are subject to corrosion or excessive cost. It is rated for a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F in pressure service and 180 degrees F for intermittent gravity flow. The smooth interior bore resists scaling, pitting, and rust across virtually all compatible service fluids, reducing maintenance intervals compared to metal alternatives. It is listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for use with potable water systems.
Designed for use within the IPEX Xirtec PVC piping system as an OEM-dimensioned replacement or new-installation component. Compatible with 3/4-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe joined by solvent cement per applicable standards.
Installation of PVC Schedule 80 socket fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and NSF guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing piping. Use only PVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before returning the system to service. Do not exceed the rated temperature or pressure limits for the fitting size and schedule.
